The Aunties, Inflatables
“Creating expressive anthropomorphic sculptural ceramics, I came up with ‘The Aunties’ series, fusions of plant-, vase- & human feminine forms in vaguely bossy & winsome postures. For the Sydney Festival 2023, two of these works were used as models to be transformed into ginormous air-supported sculptures, decorously wearing Jenny Kee’s iconic knitted fashion with matching summer hats.” Suza Schiele
