Keeping Peace
Keeping Peace was first exhibited at NZ Sculpture OnShore 2012 where it marked a site of military significance at Ford Takapuna in Auckland, New Zealand.
A 10m in diameter inflatable bright pink peace sign with white polka dots & little orange pump balls, invited visitors to the outdoor exhibition, to ‘pump for peace’. A nearby gauge indicated the air pressure. Many helping hands maintained inflation. Keeping the Peace is a communal effort, it starts with us.
The peace sign, the viewers, & the immediate environment were seen in an adjacent security mirror as well as from any flying objects above, including global military surveillance satellites.
